GuessCoords.com is a free online geography game that helps you practice world geography, latitude, and longitude. Improve your mental map of the world and learn about different countries by guessing their coordinates. The closer you guess to the actual coordinates, the better your score. If you guess inside the borders of the country, you get a perfect score. Challenge yourself or compete against a friend in multiplayer mode.

How to play the coordinate guessing game?

The game is simple: you get the name of a country, and you enter what you think are the latitude and longitude coordinates of that country (any point inside the country's borders).

What is the difference between the easy, medium, and hard modes?

The game has three difficulty levels:

Easy: Guess the coordinates of well-known countries. The map is available as an aid to help you orient yourself.
Medium: Guess the coordinates without the map. More countries are included.
Hard: Guess the coordinates of all countries in the world, including smaller and less well-known countries. No map is available.

How is the score calculated?

The score is calculated based on the distance between your guess and the actual coordinates of the country. If you guess inside the borders of the country, you get a perfect score. Otherwise, the score is calculated based on the distance of your guess to the closest point on the country's border.

How to play multiplayer mode?

In multiplayer mode, you can create a room and invite a friend to play with you. You can choose the difficulty level, and both players will guess the coordinates of the same country. The score of each player is summed up over multiple rounds.
